E-Mail Sending Change - January 12, 2007

We will be forbidding the user 'nobody' from sending e-mail starting on January 12th, 2007. What this means for the end user is that you will have to configure all of your PHP/CGI/etc scripts to use your SMTP login when they would like to send mail. Most pieces of software already have this function built in so there should not be a problem.
The reason we are implementing this change is because of a recent issue with spammers. If there is a faulty script on a user's website then spammers can take advantage of that and spam to their heart's content. With the setting the way it will be on January 12th, you will need to have an active e-mail account and password to send mail.
If you are having any problems getting your mail sent out please let us know by either dropping by our Live Chat, sending us an e-mail, or opening a ticket via the billing center.
